Philippians 1:6
Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
There's something quietly unsettling about unfinished things. A project left halfway done. A relationship that needed more time. A version of yourself you were sure you'd become by now. We carry these incompletions around, and sometimes they start to feel like evidence that we're beyond fixing or too far behind to catch up.
That's exactly the kind of thinking Paul pushes back against in Philippians 1:6. And what makes this verse so striking is the confidence behind it. Paul doesn't say "I hope God finishes what He started" or "maybe, if you try hard enough." He says he is confident. That word carries the weight of certainty, not wishful thinking.

Lord, thank You for not giving up on me. On the days when I feel unfinished, remind me that You see the whole picture and You are still at work. Give me patience with the process and confidence in Your faithfulness to complete what You started. I trust You with the parts of me that still need shaping. Amen.
